Programmatic Afterlives considers what happens when a building outlives the programme for which it was conceived, exploring adaptive reuse as a process of transformation rather than replacement. The project investigates how existing structures can accommodate new programmes, overlapping uses and unforeseen forms of occupation, while retaining traces of their previous lives.
The proposal considers the interior as a space of negotiation between inherited structures and emerging needs, where spatial, material and programmatic interventions can activate new possibilities within the existing. Through the coexistence of different uses, the project explores how buildings might remain open to transformation, extending their functional and cultural life through continuous processes of adaptation.

Islandic Protocols explores the possibility of establishing an autonomous settlement on Sálvora Island through a territorial system of architectural devices, rethinking the relationship between infrastructure, resources and collective life. The island becomes a testing ground for new forms of territorial organisation and architectural autonomy.
The premise aims to design a constellation of singular devices addressing the community’s energy, material and social self-sufficiency. Together, the interventions establish new relationships between landscape, infrastructure and inhabitation, speculating on how architecture might support collective life and generate new programmes from the specific resources and constraints of an isolated territory.

Domestic Frictions considers how domestic space might respond to changing ways of living and working, questioning the conventional separation between home and work and what it means to inhabit and produce within the same space. The course explores new models of housing in which domestic life and professional activity coexist, rethinking privacy, productivity, care and everyday routines through architecture, while considering how these transformations might extend beyond the domestic interior to reshape patterns of occupation, urban infrastructures and the relationship between housing and the wider city.

Parallel Universes was a course exploring the potential of digital tools as instruments for imagining alternative worlds and constructing new forms of spatial representation. Through digital experimentation, students developed speculative environments and visual compositions that moved between the abstract and the spatial, using emerging technologies not simply to represent architecture, but to generate new spatial imaginaries and question conventional modes of architectural representation.
