Conceived as a geological and Anthropocene section, the two gabion-and-wood walls confront deep time with the accelerated human impact on the island’s ecology. Layers of local stone and plastics collected from the island’s beaches form a material archive and a call to rebuild a symbiotic relationship with the environment.

Master Thesis, Contemporary Architecture and Critic.
Universidad de Alcalá, Madrid (UAH)
What if Nuevo Baztán became a factory for knowledge rather than material production? The project reimagines the town’s eighteenth-century industrial legacy through a new landscape of intellectual work, leisure and exchange, where the factory becomes a space for producing ideas, sensitivities and new forms of collective life. By bringing together spaces for learning, research, collaboration and retreat, the proposal explores how a productive settlement might respond to a society in which physical labour is increasingly displaced by automation and intellectual production becomes the new driver of value.
